In principle, no additional registration is required for dispatching and receiving e-mails and data over the secure delivery platforms integrated by the Canton of Zug.

However, if you are exchanging messages with public authorities, you must comply with e-Government regulations.

Federal register of e-mail addresses

The platform operators are obliged to report the e-mail addresses of registered «ZUGLOGIN» users to the federal authority where they are kept in the protected eGov directory. Thus secure and compliant data traffic across federal administrative agencies, legal authorities, cantons and platforms is guaranteed.

To protect data, the owner's consent is needed for the forwarding of an e-mail address to the federal registry.
