SuisseID is the Swiss standard for digital identity. With it, people identify themselves definitively online and sign legally valid contracts electronically. It is therefore a digital passport and signature.

The issuer of SuisseID, SwissSign AG stopped selling SuisseID by Swiss Post on December 31, 2019. Qualified electronic signatures of PDFs are usable until December 15, 2021.

What is the succession solution?

SuisseID users can migrate their "old" SuisseID to a "new" SwissID by Tuesday, June 29, 2021 - create a new SwissIDaccount. You can then confirm your entered SwissID identity data with the "old" SuisseID Online.

How long can SuisseID still be used?

The operation of the SuisseID services in connection with the electronic ZUGLOGIN application must be discontinued on June 30th, 2021. Logging in with “SuisseID” on the ZUGLOGIN is then no longer possible, but can be done using “SwissID”.
